The Shading and the colours are just awesome. The tones are almost perfect, especially the claws, and the big thing on his head... (forgot what it was called, sorry) The fur on his neck really looks The pose he is in has a really big impact. The eyes really stand out for me.
Perhaps you could add a background, but it could mess up the main subject of the picture. Perhaps you could put a better version of the mouth as I don't know if it is smiling or frowning...( might just be my eyes though, looking at the computer screen too much
